Veteran. Former Suffolk County Prosecutor.
Meet Jon.
Jon Estreich was raised on Long Island and lives in Dix Hills with his wife Meital and their three children. He holds the rank of Major in the U.S. Army Reserve, where he is assigned to the U.S. Army's Trial Defense Services. From 2022 to 2023, Jon deployed to Korea as Chief of National Security Law at the 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command.
Jon previously served as an Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County, where he was assigned to the Appeals, District Court, and East End Bureaus. Earlier in his career, he served as a counsel to Governor Andrew Cuomo, an investigative attorney at the MTA Office of Inspector General, and a law clerk to a U.S. Court of Appeals judge.
Most recently, Jon worked as an attorney for the federal Department of Homeland Security. He was hired during the Biden Administration, and took the job because he believes in a secure border, but one with a big gate, allowing into our country people who want to work and be part of the American experiment while limiting interior enforcement to people with criminal records. He resigned his position because the deaths of Americans at the hands of the Department show that it is no longer focused on upholding our nation’s laws.
Jon graduated with a degree in American History, Phi Beta Kappa, from SUNY Albany and earned a law degree, with Honors, from the University of Texas.
